Phil Kean Designs is a nationally recognized Design/Build firm located in Winter Park, Florida. Committed to innovative design and "green" building, the firm designs homes nationally and builds eight to ten homes each year in Winter Park, Orlando, and Central Florida. Our niche is indoor/outdoor living, "green" certified homes, and the ability to translate your dreams into reality. It's also why we are a design/build firm. Unlike many architects and residential designers, our day-to-day participations do not end with a set of building plans. Instead, our experienced construction managers and skilled craftsmen carefully manage your project every step of the way. This seamless building process allows us to fine-tune your plans as the home unfolds.

Kean has been designing homes since 1984 and has received multiple national awards for his single-family home and remodel designs. He attended Washington University and Harvard University for his three degrees: Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Architecture (MArch), and Master of Business Administration (MBA). He is a Certified Residential Contractor, member of the Master Custom Builder Council, associate member of the AIA, member of the Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando, member of the Florida Green Building Coalition, Inc., a member of the Central Florida Chapter, U.S. Green Building Council, and a Certified Green Professional.

Phil Kean Designs was listed in the Orlando Business Journal as the 6th Largest Custom Home Builder and the 17th Largest Home Remodeler in Central Florida in 2008. The firm was the first to complete a LEED-Gold (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified home in Orlando which was also certified by the Florida Green Building Coalition.
